Stuart Smith
Buehler Companies
Stuart earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Marketing from the University of North Texas while paying his own tuition and working in the apparel industry. While continuing to work as a manufacturer’s representative, Stuart spent a couple years working and living in the great state of Pennsylvania. After that, Stuart moved with the same apparel company to manage the territory in Florida and Georgia, continuing his work there for eight years. Stuart then moved back to Dallas as a sales manager and held that position until he purchased a Wheaton agent in Denver, CO and began his career in the moving and storage industry.
Stuart strongly believes in both the philosophy and practice of Servant Leadership and attributes this approach to the $33 million Buehler Companies generates annually. In his younger years, Stuart earned his Eagle Scout, and as a result continues to hone his leadership skills. Stuart remains an active supporter of the Boy Scouts of America and firmly believes the application of Servant Leadership is why Buehler Companies was selected as a 2016 Colorado Companies to Watch award winner. As well as holding the position of president to Buehler Companies, Stuart currently sits on the Vectra Bank Advisory Board and is also on the board of the Colorado Motor Carriers Association. In the past, Stuart served on the board of the Columbine Country Club.
Stuart and his wife, Zoe Ann, have two adult children: Carly and Dana. Their family time includes activities such as hunting, boating, and four-wheeling. Whenever possible, Stuart enjoys sneaking away for a round of golf.
